KV-LITE CLASS A FOAM 0.1-1 % Concentrate is a class A foam concentrate available with low, medium or high expansion ratios. It is formulated with speciality hydrocarbon surfactants, stabilizers, preservatives and solvents. The formulation gives very satisfactory performance even at low temperatures. It is an efficient fire-extinguishing agent for class A fires involving paper, wood, coal, wild fires etc. KV-LITE CLASS A FOAM 0.1-1 % Concentrate is very effective in fighting fires of coal mines, coal storage bunkers, wood, cotton & paper storage areas etc. KV-LITE CLASS A FOAM 0.1-1 % Concentrate, due to its low proportioning rate, offers cost benefit in terms of usage, storage & handling. Concentrate fights fire in the following ways: Low surface tension gives superior wetting & penetrating properties to the foam concentrate. This reduces fire intensity & helps the extinguishant to penetrate the char red layer and control deep-seated fires. Long drainage time of the foam provides blanketing effect over a longer time thereby cools the fuel surface, suppresses combustible vapour release and reduces re-kindling risks. Thick foam layer acts as insulating barrier, thus reduces heat radiation.
