Indian Solvent’s latest new venture is the manufacture and sale of high protein soy-based extruded floating fish feed for Indian fish farming under the brand name ABIS FISH FEED. The feed is produced using an imported extrusion feed plant that is capable of producing 8 MT feed per hour using precision process control methods. The feeds containing 28% crude protein, 3% fat with 2500 K. cal. energy and 32% crude protein, 4% fat with 2700 K. cal. energy, will be delivered to customers at an economical price.
Extruded floating feed is the modern generation feed for producing farmed fish. The greatest advantage with the feed is the efficient nutrient delivery system made possible to fish. The user benefit is the ability to observe water stable feed floating on water by which one will be able to manage feed better, in order to derive maximum economic benefit, low FCR’s and considerable reduction in grow-out period. This farming system relies on water and feed as the only inputs into the system. Due to this, better water quality is maintained, helps in low occurrence of diseases resulting in better survival and a healthy pond bottom. Water from ideally managed systems can be re-used after partially topping it with fresh water. The success of farming fish with such feeds depends on efficient feed management using the satiation feeding technique and package of fish farming practices recommended by ASA-IM
