Palm Labs, Inc. - Manufacturer of quality industrial adhesives - a
new family of cyanoacrylates designed for the industrial, medical
and consumer industries.
John Fontana's experience in the business community goes back to
1965 where he was part of the Olivetti team. In 1971, Mr. Fontana
started his own Chemical Specialty Company. With borrowed funds he
developed a significant management team and soon became a force in
the specialty chemicals for the plumbing and heating industry.
Industrial Petrolic had rapid growth and soon became a leader in the
industry. His business strategy and marketing capabilities led to
increased sales in 18 consecutive years. In 1990 he sold Industrial
Petrolic Corp.
Palm Laboratories was formed in 1989 for the purpose of producing
and marketing cyanocrylates. At Palm Labs he put together an
outstanding management team.
The original purpose of the formation of Palm Labs was to fit into a
definite market opening and develop a new family of cyanoacrylates
designed for the industrial, medical and consumer industries.
Palm Labs has focused its research and development on the new
exciting Cyanoacrylate, particularly its benefits in the field of
medicine.
In Europe and Canada, the medical establishment is now using
Cyanoacrylates in sutureless skin closures. This development looks
exceptionally promising, however, we need to undertake extensive
efforts in clinical testing. FDA approval is needed and it can be
accomplished with extensive testing and presentation. The benefits
of using Butyl Cyanoacrylate are many: less trauma, higher
mechanical strength, and the use of a local anesthetic is not
required.
In addition to the Medical benefits of the product, research and
development can be done in many industrial areas - such as High
Temperature Cyanoacrylates which can be used in automotive aluminum
engines. At this time we are very close to the development of
Cyanoacrylate Styrene, a high temperatures Cyanoacrylate, which can
open up a multitude of possibilities.
