FILM APPLICATORS LAB-FINE Instrument is manufacturing following types of film applicator 1) Bar Applicator This applicator is used as single side film applicater. The standard length is 90 mm and film thickness is 25, 50, 75 and 100 microns. Any other size will be manufactured on request. 2) Adjustable film applicator Width of the film is 60 mm and thickness can be adjusted from 25 micro. To3 mm 3) Multi film applicator This will draw down 8 different film thicknesses of 25,50,75,100,125.150.175 and 200 microns having width of 60 mm. 4) 4 Sided film applicator This is a squire bar film applicator having 4 different film thicknesses of 30,60,90 and 120 microns. 5) Sag index applicator This film applicator is used to determine the level of wet film thickness at which a paint film will run down or sag. There are seven steps having 50, 75,100,125,150,175 and 200 microns thickness. 6) Automatic film applicator This is a motorized film applicator having full control over speed and pressure on Film applicator. It overcomes of humane error. The quality of the draw down is depending on the shear rate and the weight on the applicator. To overcome the manually operated film applicator caused by variations in speed and pressure, Lab-fine instruments has developed automatic film applicator. The design is confirmed to standard ASTM D823.
